I’ve been here since Adrian replied “Yeah maybe we might actually pull this off!” fifteen years ago.
My roles include…. Taking portrait photographs of extraordinary musicians with the only requirement being that they wield a guitar as I press the shutter. Listening very carefully to the real brains behind this outfit and nod or frown in the right places.
Most satisfying is that I also try my best to enhance the audio of some of our products when a little sprinkle of fairy dust puts the cherry on top!
I’ve been here since Jan said “hey, could we do THIS...?” all those years ago.
My speciality is the tab and music theory info, and I used to transcribe everything, until Matt Sears came to save me.
When not obsessing over Superlocrian scales, you’ll find me cycling up hills, creeping through woodland or sitting in the pub!
JTC has been my baby since 2012. Jan and Adrian needed someone to take over the day to day running of the site, and at that time I could see it had huge potential.
Back then it was just the 3 of us with 7 artists and around 20 releases.
Seeing it grow into the JTC of today with such incredible artists and dedicated staff has been a wonderful journey. My baby is now a toddler…the journey is far from over.
Outside of JTC I’m a dedicated family man who loves a boxset binge, avid Newcastle Utd fan and probably the worst guitar player in the company!
Hey there! I'm Matt Roberts, the Lead Designer at JTC, and I've been with the company since February 2020.
Being creative is my passion, and you'll frequently catch me using the BIG crayons to create the release artwork.
I've been playing the guitar since I was 14, and some of my greatest influences are Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Paul Gilbert. Besides that, I also have a keen interest in photography, gardening, and taking long walks with my GSD, Mozzie.
I’m the one who edits and puts all the packages together, working closely with Dan, Matt Sears and Adrian.
I studied Popular Music Performance and Music Business at BIMM, gig regularly and until I started working at JTC, I was a regular Jam of the Month contestant!
I’m a massive fan of Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan and Slash. Outside of music, I play pool and binge crime dramas.
