Being able to feel time and groove effortlessly is a fundamental skill that all professional musicians have down. Drilling into the detail and pushing your comfort zones is at the heart of this Masterclass.

Slap is a skill most commonly associated with bass guitar but Luca will show you exactly how to approach the funky technique on 6 strings and pull it off like a pro. From everything to right hand placement to left hand coordination, you’ll get the strings to slap and pop with ultimate control.

Controlling timing and rhythmic feel is taught via combining multiple techniques with both the left and right hands. The end goal is to become comfortable with common guitar skills while feeling the groove and time of the track you’re soloing over. This section of the package is a technical assault course, where you’ll face hybrid picking and legato licks in cascading subdivision changes, all while sticking to the beat as close as possible.

Developing the picking hand is essential to success with the guitar. In this section you’ll approach each phrase with different combinations of fingerpicking, hybrid picking, and percussive techniques to enhance the expression in each and every note you play.

Five songs remain, where you’ll be able to string together longer lines and techniques all the while keeping the groove and beat as the main focus. These will ultimately allow you to develop and harness your new found skills earlier in the pack.
