Hong Kong born Kit Tang owes much of his musical ability to his determination to teach himself to play. After watching Bon Jovi videos as a child, he then discovered the work of Vai, Malmsteen and Timmons, lighting the fire for his passion for music. After studying in Canada, his understanding and appreciation of music blossomed once more, and in 2007, he moved back to Hong Kong to start his own studio. In between composing for other artists and TV, Kit writes for himself. The track "Hang Onto You” is a wonderful example of his ability to craft a guitar ballad; an ability that also earned him a place on JTC’s own guitar ballad collection.
